Recent college graduate having passed the F.E. to qualify for an E.I.T.  Must be working towards P.E. status.


  • Coordination of engineering and architectural drawings for smaller buildings or a prototypical building program
  • Coordination and submission for approvals of entitlements and permitting
  • Some site construction observation and construction administration
  • Detail design for simpler, smaller building construction situations
  • Perform basic analysis of building for code compliance and engineering performance.
  • Self-directed CAD or Revit input and checking
  • Perform some engineering calculations under supervision
  • Shop drawing review with close supervision
  • Begin design development of details and sections for review by Project Engineer
  • Assist Project Engineer with consultant coordination as directed
  • CAD Drafting of sketched details, sections, and notes to working drawing sheets
  • Transfer red marks from check prints to original drawings/CAD files/computer model
  • Layout of plan drawings and details from preliminary sketches
  • Copy shop drawing corrections
  • Utilize office CAD or Revit standards
  • Measurement of existing conditions (usually as an assistant)
  • Clerical tasks such as maintaining technical and job files
  • Plotting and photocopying of CAD files
  • Word-processing assistance

All work of the Engineer is subject to thorough higher level review and checking.


  • Demonstrate ability of technical detailing
  • Demonstrate thoroughness of picking up redlines based on self-correction and mark-ups from project manager
  • Show ability of basic project coordination and organization
  • Show initiative for advancement
