For this project, The Matrix Group teamed with The Redmond Company for the complete MEP design for a new 8,800 square foot branch facility for Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) located in Decatur, Illinois. This facility also included all centralized office functions for LLCU, branch banking facilities including a 4-lane drive up/ATM. The building also contained a large Community Room spaces that was designated for both LLCU use and also could be used for community functions such as meetings, scouts, etc.
Our office completed full MEP design for this facility. Mechanical system included a large rooftop unit for ventilation and heating/cooling with VAV boxes with electric reheat for the various zones within the building. The electrical design included lighting design for a vaulted ceiling space in the Lobby that was done using decorative cylinder pendants from the ceiling.
Redmond Company was the architectural designer for the project but also was the General Contractor that constructed the building for the Owner. We worked closely with Redmond during the complete design process and also assisted with the resolution of construction issues in the field. This project was completed using Autodesk Revit software to complete a 3D building information model (BIM) of the building.
